Congratulations To The New Chairperson!
We are so proud of our CEO Jennifer Lopez! She has been elected as the new Chairperson for the Governance Board of the Chester County Partnership to End Homelessness. The Partnership is a community-based collaborative of agencies, foundations, and organizations committed to ending and preventing homelessness in Chester County through advocacy, education, and access to services. She will be joined by Tamela Luce, Executive Director of the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation as the board’s new co-chair. Jennifer Lopez has been leading the team at Friends Association for four years and during her time here has helped start and expand Chester County’s Eviction Prevention Case Resolution program, distribute COVID Emergency Rental Relief, and opened the County’s first reentry home for women impacted by incarceration. With this new appointment, Lopez is looking forward to making a positive impact in the community.
“It’s truly an honor to serve our community and our neighbors by being able to help lead and collaborate with all our partners-including people with lived experience of homelessness – toward a more just future where everyone, especially historically marginalized and BIPOC people, have access to a safe, healthy, affordable place to call home.”
